Ferrone Claiborne of the “Waverly Two” is finally free.
April 8th, Ferrone walked out of FCI Petersburg Medium, stepping into freedom and straight into the arms of Terence Richardson — his co-defendant, brother in resilience, and fellow survivor of a deeply broken system.
In 1998, both men were acquitted by a federal jury for the murder of a police officer in Waverly, Virginia. But through a rare legal maneuver, a judge sentenced them to life anyway.
Today, thanks to tireless advocacy and a presidential commutation, Ferrone is reunited with his family and ready to rebuild the life that was stolen from him.
🖤 We celebrate his freedom — but we do not forget the years lost. This is why we fight.
